Outfitted with a host of handy accessories, the complex optico-electronic system functions equally well in the hand or installed in a head mount. The device consists of an objective lens assembly, an eyepiece, and a sturdy body, with an integrated IR illuminator making it possible to read maps or operate in confined spaces. The body also contains a Gen 3 image intensifier tube and an integrated high-voltage power source within the battery housing. And thanks to the objective lens protective cover, you'll not only protect the lens from dust and scratches, but also have access to a handy daylight filter. To test the scope in daylight and other bright-light situations, just look through the pinhole in the center of the protective cover.
